VMware Workstation Pro is a hosted hypervisor that runs on x64 versions of Windows and Linux operating systems; it enables users to set up virtual machines on a single physical machine and use them simultaneously along with the host machine.

First step is to download VMware Workstation.

Once the download is done, install the application.

Click next.
Accept the L.A. and next.
-The enhanced virtual keyboard feature provides better handling of international keyboards and keyboards that have extra keys. This feature is available only on Windows host systems.
Console tools into system PATH makes the VMWare CLI tools easily available from the command line.
– Click next.
Check for product updates on startup, i don’t see why not use this as it will keep Workstation up to date and safe from security breaches.
– I dont join the Customer Experience Improvement Program, because privacy.
Next.
Next to begin installation.
Once completed, click finish, you will need to reboot if you installed drivers.
Click Yes and reboot.
After the reboot, click on the WMware Workstation Pro icon on your desktop to confirm the installation went successful.
If you see the same thing as the screenshot above, you have successfully installed VMware Workstation!

If you have had issues with the installation, please refer to this documentation : https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/1005027

The next step would be to create a Virtual Machine and install an OS on it but this deserves its own post. Stay tuned!
